In House MinistriesAnchor of Hope Youth AOH youth meets every Wednesday night for worship plus a message geared directly for today’s high school and college age students. In addition to our weekly service we also meet regularly for fellowship and go on trips with other youth throughout the year. We have an annual trip to Barborville, KY for youth camp in July and many other events throughout the year. If you would like to get plugged in to AOH youth or just have questions you can call youth Pastor E.J. Lamb at 513-310-8318. Look forward to seeing you soon. Royal Rangers / Missionettes For boys and girls age three and up we have Royal Rangers and Missionettes. These classes are offered every Wednesday night where children can come learn about Jesus and can have fun with crafts, games, and outdoor fun. So if you have a child from 3 years to Junior High we would love to see you. Local MinistriesIn addition to the in house ministries to our children, youth and adults we are reaching out to our community through services conducted in two healthcare facilities in Lebanon on the First Wednesday of each month: Cedars of Lebanon Healthcare Facilities
Inner CityWe have also partnered financially with an inner city ministry in the Over the Rhine area of Cincinnati for many years. A work that has helped the homeless and hurting by ministering to both practical and spiritual needs. This work is under the leadership of Pastor Patrick Winkler who may be reached at this address: The Lighthouse Worship Center Children’s HomeAOH has long been a supporter of the children’s home in Barbourville, Kentucky where many of our youth have found healing, guidance and training to become productive adults. It is located on the grounds where every summer is held our Pentecostal Campmeeting, Youth camp and Ladies Retreat. AOH has the distinction of being the longest continuous contributor going back to the days of our founding pastor Rev. Edgar J. Kelley. The home is under the capable leadership of Steve Yeary. The mailing address is: Appalachian Children’s Home Foreign MissionsMissionary endeavor continues to be a priority of AOH as we recognize this as part of the fulfilling of our Lord’s “Great Commission” to take the message of salvation from sin through Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. We believe it is our part to help in the sending of those who are called to go and by so doing shall share in the joyous reward of the harvest reaped. One of these works we have supported for more than 30 years is a ministry under the direction of veteran missionaries Melvin and Delilah Kincaid. Their faithfulness in this work has resulted in thousands being saved and scores of local churches established in Mexico, Guatemala and parts of Central America. Their stateside address is: Guate-Mex Vision Inc. Another husband and wife team of veteran missionaries we’re blessed to partner with is Bill And Carlene Pepper who through God’s grace have seen thousands come to Christ in the country of Peru and other parts of the world. They can be reached stateside at this mailing address: Bill Pepper A third ministry we are blessed to be part of is the “House of Hope” in the country of Armenia where many of the elderly who often lack the very basic necessities are taken in and given a comfortable bed, food and clothing. Many of them know nothing about Jesus and his love and when told have given their lives to Him. A number of which are now with Him in heaven. This ministry is under the direction of Missionary-Evangelist Darrell Turner. More information is available by writing: River of Life International A number of other missionary efforts are also supported by AOH on a special offering basis at various times as God by His grace provides. To Him be all the Praise! |
